RBX Releases ‘Hibernation Shivers’ On Digital Streaming Platforms + Limited Edition Vinyl

Long Beach rap icon RBX has made a triumphant return with the release of his latest solo album, Hibernation Shivers, now available on all digital platforms and in a limited edition vinyl format. Produced by Labcabin Records founders Sccit and Siavash the Grouch, the album made its digital streaming debut on June 28.

Hibernation Shivers is led by RBX’s highly anticipated response to DJ Clark Kent in the album’s latest single, “The Shivers,” featuring fellow Long Beach rapper KXNG Crooked and up-and-coming Los Angeles artist Sccit. In a statement, RBX explained the inspiration behind the track: “When a bear comes out of hibernation, the first thing he does is shiver… then that brings on the heat. And after the blood starts flowing, now it’s time to eat. We had to shake off some haters to let them know we’re still here, you feel me?”

“The Shivers” is just one of the album’s standout tracks featuring appearances from hip-hop royalty as RBX has assembled a stellar lineup of artists from the golden era to contribute to Hibernation Shivers, including MC Eiht, Spice 1, Ras Kass, Tha Dogg Pound, Krayzie Bone, Project Pat, Fatlip, Cold 187um, and Butch Cassidy, among others. Sccit emphasized the goal of creating timeless classics with the album, urging listeners to press play and let the music carry them through to the end.

The producers aimed to capture the signature sound reminiscent of RBX’s days on Death Row Records, infusing the album with that familiar vibe. RBX recently made an appearance on Tha Dogg Pound’s track, “Who Da Hardest?” featuring the Lady of Rage and Snoop Dogg and produced by DJ Premier, teasing fans with a taste of what was to come on his own album.
