Money B & Young Hump Drop The Mekanix-Produced “Dumb Out” Featuring Digital Underground

Money B and Young Hump are keeping the Digital Underground party going with “Dumb Out,” their new single produced by The Mekanix and featuring Digital Underground. Released October 23 through All Mons Productions Inc., the track brings the longtime collaborators together for another chapter in the Oakland crew’s catalog.

The pairing has history. Money B and Young Hump previously appeared on The Mekanix’s 2019 track “Facts Wit Tax.” The Oakland production duo of 4rAx and Kenny Tweed also enlisted Money B for last year’s “Save Oakland (Remix),” joining Too $hort, Numskull, Keak Da Sneak, Del the Funkee Homosapien and a lengthy roster of Bay Area voices.

“Dumb Out” arrives more than three decades after Digital Underground’s 1990 debut, Sex Packets, introduced a national audience to the group’s mix of Parliament-inspired funk, outrageous characters and humor. Shock G’s Humpty Hump persona became its most recognizable face through “The Humpty Dance,” while Money B helped establish the crew’s vocal chemistry and stage presence. In his 2024 Conversations With Chad interview, Money B discussed those early years, his Raw Fusion roots with DJ Fuze, and working alongside Shock G and 2Pac.

His recent releases have kept those Oakland connections active. The Guapdad 4000 collaboration “Sit Next To Me,” produced by Xcelence, arrived in 2024, followed by the 49ers-themed “Run It Up!” video in 2025. Now, with Young Hump and The Mekanix aboard, “Dumb Out” puts the Digital Underground name back on a new release—and gives the crew another reason to get the party started.
