Baby S Drops New Yung Bala On Da Beat-Produced Single & Music Video “Own Source”

Baby S has released his new single “Own Source” from the upcoming album Babystherapper. This latest offering continues a journey that began in the vibrant hip-hop culture of 1980s Southern California.

Baby S’s style is deeply rooted in the West Coast sound, with a flow that unmistakably places him in the California rap tradition. His delivery, characterized by a distinctive twang, draws heavily from the influential figures who shaped the region’s hip-hop scene. DJ Quik‘s smooth, funk-infused productions, Snoop Dogg‘s laid-back delivery, and the late Eazy-E‘s unapologetic swagger all find echoes in Baby S’s music.

Throughout his career, Baby S has benefited from collaborations with key figures in the West Coast hip-hop community. Legendary producer DJ Battlecat, known for his work with Snoop Dogg and Tha Eastsidaz, lent his talents to Baby S’s productions. King T, a pioneer of Los Angeles hip-hop, featured him on the track “Squeeze Yo Balls” from the 1998 album Thy Kingdom Come.

That same year marked a significant milestone in Baby S’s career when he appeared on Kurupt‘s hit single “We Can Freak It,” produced by DJ Battlecat. This collaboration exposed Baby S to a broader audience and solidified his place in West Coast hip-hop.

In 2001, Baby S took a major step forward with the release of his debut album, Street Fractions. The project, released through Blast Entertainment/Ruthless Records and distributed by Epic/Sony, introduced his unique voice to the hip-hop world at large.

Now, with the release of “Own Source” and the anticipation building for Babystherapper, Baby S continues to build on the foundation laid by his influences while carving out his own space in the ever-evolving landscape of West Coast hip-hop.
