Mr. Jet Black is preparing to release new music, and fans recently got an early listen thanks to legendary West Coast producer E-A-Ski.
In a video shared on Instagram, E-A-Ski offered a behind-the-scenes look at the mixing process for “Big Man,” an upcoming single from Mr. Jet Black that features the veteran producer on the track. The preview captures E-A-Ski fine-tuning the record in the studio while portions of the song play in the background, giving listeners a glimpse of what to expect from the collaboration.
The teaser suggests “Big Man” will deliver the polished production and West Coast energy that have become synonymous with E-A-Ski’s catalog. Known for his work alongside artists including Ice Cube, Spice 1, MC Eiht, Too $hort, and Krayzie Bone, E-A-Ski has spent decades helping shape the sound of West Coast hip-hop while continuing to remain active with new releases and collaborations.
For Mr. Jet Black, “Big Man” adds to a growing body of work that has steadily expanded his profile throughout Northern California and beyond. The Hayward artist has maintained a consistent release schedule over the past several years, balancing solo material with collaborations involving established figures from the West Coast rap community. Among those is the still unreleased Ant Banks-produced single “Hang On” featuring Silk-E, along with the collaborative project Mud Brothaz 2: All The Way Green alongside Allybo and Shill Macc.
More recently, Mr. Jet Black returned with “Message To The W-E-A-K,” continuing a productive stretch that has seen him build momentum through independent releases, music videos, and strategic collaborations.
While no official release date for “Big Man” has been announced, E-A-Ski’s studio preview indicates the record is nearing completion. The pairing of Mr. Jet Black and E-A-Ski brings together an emerging Bay Area voice and one of the West Coast’s most accomplished producers, setting the stage for one of Mr. Jet Black’s most notable releases to date.
