Cold187um of Above The Law just dropped the newest single, “Gangsta” from the upcoming 10-track album Pomona Love, and produced by Cold 187um.
Above The Law co-founder, Cold 187um, spoke exclusively to Chad Kiser on “Gangsta” and the upcoming Pomona Love album saying, “The new LP, Pomona Love, will be ten new G-funk hip-hop bangers produced by Cold 187um. It’s important to keep the legacy of Above The Law out here so moving forward it will be Above The Law featuring Cold 187um, even when I do solo projects. This project is a joint venture with MobG Entertainment.”
In 2021, the former Ruthless Records artist also delivered the 10-track album Above The Law Presents: The Resurrection Of Gangster Rap, which also features long-time collaborator Kokane on 2 tracks, “Real Mutha Fucka” and “Funkum”.
Part of the post-N.W.A explosion of California gangsta rap, Above the Law came out of the eastern Los Angeles suburb of Pomona with leader Cold 187um, aka Big Hutch joined by the late KMG the Illustrator, Go Mack, and DJ Total K-Oss.
This past August, Cold187um released the Rockboys Magazine Mixtape Vol. 1, a 20-track project featuring Xzibit, Ice Cube, Too Short, E-40, Kokane, Suga Free and others. The G-funk originator and Pomona, California legend dropped the lead single, “Until The Wheels Fall Off”, featuring west coast icon/actor/entrepreneur Ice Cube in July.
