Rick Rock, the multi-platinum producer for Jay-Z, 2Pac, E-40, Busta Rhymes, Mount Westmore, and others, just dropped the new Tyrone Richardson-directed music video of his new single ”7-0-Suisun” off the upcoming Grind Grind Grind Then Shine / The Forward Movement Project.
Earlier this year, Rick Rock released the “But I’m A Christian” music video, which was also directed by Rick Rock and Tyrone Richardson, which followed the February release of the album’s first single, “I Admire You“.
When the album was announced in late December 2022, Rick Rock spoke exclusively to Chad Kiser about the upcoming Grind Grind Grind Then Shine / The Forward Movement Project saying, “The first album Grind Grind Grind Then Shine is more slaps, claps, and blaps back to back, more up-tempo. It has a lot of clips from different artists speaking on me, from back in the day to now. And it shows that I’ve been grind, grind, grinding and it takes time to shine. The second album is more introspective, definitely more musical, a few more hip-hop. It’s more grown on that side. That side is the forward movement, that’s like moving forward in life, the growner side.”
The new Grind Grind Grind Then Shine / The Forward Movement Project double album will feature guest appearances from the likes of Snoop Dogg, Kokane, Stresmatic of The Federation, Battle Locco, and others.
