Cypress Hill, the legendary hip-hop group, is set to take the stage at the Bourbon Room in Los Angeles for an exclusive private show on Wednesday, June 14th, 2023. Presented by Bose and SPIN, the event will celebrate Cypress Hill’s L.A. homecoming, the 30th anniversary of their iconic Black Sunday album, and marks one of many summer celebrations of the 50th anniversary of hip-hop.
Known for their pioneering blend of Latino-American style and alternative rap, Cypress Hill has been a driving force in the music industry for over three decades. The private show at the Bourbon Room promises to be an unforgettable night of live performances featuring their greatest hits as well as deep cuts that pay tribute to their storied career.
This special event is part of the SPIN and Bose Decades of Sound video series, a campaign that pays homage to the influential artists who shaped music and sound in the 1990s. Cypress Hill, along with other iconic artists like Method Man and Ghostface Killah of Wu-Tang Clan, as well as Blur, will be featured in exclusive interviews and footage shot on location in the U.S. and London. The series explores how these artists utilized the power of sound to propel their careers and create timeless music, highlighting the role of Bose technology in delivering their genre-defining sounds.
“We are absolutely thrilled to join forces with the legendary Cypress Hill and powerhouse brand Bose for this monumental private show,” exclaimed Jimmy Hutcheson, CEO of SPIN. “Cypress Hill’s seismic impact on hip hop, coupled with their unparalleled fusion of musical styles, is nothing short of awe-inspiring. Brace yourselves for an extraordinary celebration of their indelible legacy—a transcendent experience that will underscore their everlasting imprint on the very fabric of the genre.”
