Daz Dillinger dropped the music video to his latest single, “I Thank You Jesus”, co-written by his late mother Allean Varnado, with production handled by Amplified, Ivan Johnson, Jr., as well as Daz. The video is directed by Daz and Beefy Locc, filmed by Dah Dah, and features James Jackson and Atlanta Praise.
Allean Varnado, also the aunt of Snoop Dogg, and who passed away on February 20, 2021, released a gospel project titled Drive, Ride and Prophesy in 2015 and produced four previous gospel projects, as well as two dance classics “Wash And Wear Love” and “Second Hand Love”, and recorded the songs “Ain’t That Something” and “What Is This Life” during a 1978 recording session with former Motown staffer Clay McMurray.
Daz Dillinger recently collaborated with Lil Eazy-E, the son of Ruthless Records founder Eazy-E, for the new single “8Ball Sipp’n” off their upcoming collaborative album The Legacy, and is also planning the release of an upcoming 14-track album, Warning, featuring all-new music with former Death Row Records labelmates Kurupt, Lady of Rage, and RBX via NMatez Records.
