Rick Rock Preps New Double Album “Grind Grind Grind Then Shine / The Forward Movement Project” Featuring Snoop Dogg, Kokane, Stresmatic, Battle Locco + More

Multi-platinum producer Rick Rock will be ringing in 2023 with his upcoming album, Grind Grind Grind Then Shine / The Forward Movement Project, which is set to be released next month on January 20, 2023.

Speaking exclusively to Chad Kiser, the Bay Area producer said about the upcoming project, “The first album Grind Grind Grind Then Shine is more slaps, claps, and blaps back to back, more up-tempo. It has a lot of clips from different artists speaking on me, from back in the day to now. And it shows that I’ve been grind, grind, grinding and it takes time to shine. The second album is more introspective, definitely more musical, a few more hip-hop. It’s more grown on that side. That side is the forward movement, that’s like moving forward in life, the growner side.”

Rick Rock also reveals that features on the upcoming Grind Grind Grind Then Shine / The Forward Movement Project double album will include Snoop Dogg, Kokane, Stresmatic of The Federation, Battle Locco, and others.

“Señor El Blaps Bastardly” has provided copious amounts of hit songs for artists, including 2Pac, E-40, Fabulous, Jay-Z, Busta Rhymes, Snoop Dogg, Xzibit, Will Smith, 50 Cent, Mase, and numerous others.

He most recently had three tracks featured on the recently released album Snoop, Cube, 40, $hort for the Mount Westmore supergroup. Earlier this week, Rick Rock broke down how he produced Mount Westmore’s lead track “California”.
