Oakland icon and Mount Westmore supergroup member Too Short sat down with Billboard to talk about his upcoming Sir Too $hort album, Born to Mack’s 35th anniversary, his career evolution, being the only rapper to have worked with 2Pac, JAY-Z, and the Notorious B.I.G., and more.
“I have at least 50 new songs recorded — whether it’s me or any features I’ve done. And then I have at least 40 songs recorded with Mount Westmore,” Too Short told Billboard.
The soon-to-be-released album Sir Too $hort, which Too Short announced in December 2020 on the Conversations With Chad podcast, will have heavy production by long-time producer Ant Banks. The Billboard interview mentions the album is releasing in March.
Too Short recently dropped his latest ProHoeZak-produced single entitled, “Big Sexy Thang” featuring comedian/artist Lil’ Duval.
The west coast legend also dropped “Nasty Dance” late last year with a live performance on the Encore: Interactive Live Music app, followed by the official video which was animated by Shannon Steger of Joshua 1:9 Productions.
