Happy Birthday, Dr. Dre!

Iconic music producer Dr. Dre began his career as a DJ performing at the legendary Eve After Dark nightclub, along with DJ Yella, and subsequently met Eazy-E, MC Ren, and Ice Cube to form the “World’s Most Dangerous Group” N.W.A. on Ruthless Records.

With platinum-selling success following two legendary albums from the Compton group, Dre left Ruthless Records and formed Death Row Records with Suge Knight and The D.O.C. During this time, Dre would put out his first solo record The Chronic, featuring Snoop Doggy Dogg, Kurupt, RBX, Nate Dogg, Jewell, and others, and produce or mix on multi-platinum efforts from Snoop, 2Pac, and Tha Dogg Pound.

Splitting from Death Row Records in 1996, Dr. Dre created his own label Aftermath Entertainment, and has grown it into the empire it is today after dominating the industry with his own second solo LP 2001, a multitude of albums from Eminem, 50 Cent, Kendrick Lamar, and Anderson .Paak.

Throughout his career, Dr. Dre has produced for a litany of artists including the aforementioned, but also Eve, Xzibit, Gwen Stefani, The Game, Ice Cube, Busta Rhymes, Mary J. Blige, Nate Dogg, Jay-Z, Obie Trice, and countless others.

Happy Birthday, Dr. Dre!
