1st Generation, a group comprised of West Coast OGs Kurupt, MC Eiht & Tha Chill of Compton’s Most Wanted, Jayo Felony, Gangsta of the Comrads, and King T are prepping to release their group project this upcoming April.
Back in 2011, 1st Generation (including DJ Battlecat & Sir Jinx) had small batch of songs recorded and released like “Sharkz In The Water”, “Killin’ Me Softly”, and “Keep It CPT.” Shortly after, the group disbanded as members embarked onto other endeavors and a full project was never released.
Tha Chill, who took to Instagram to formally announce the upcoming project, spoke exclusively to Chad Kiser about the 1st Generation saying, “The reason why we waited, in my opinion, is we needed a home for all this power. Now that we got Fat Beats, we have a machine with us. Between Gangsta, King T, Jayo and myself, we was going through some jail issues and wanted to all be available for what a machine could do for all of us . We are focused, and figured it out now. All kings, all Gas.”
According to Tha Chill, the first single from the upcoming project is called “Rapture” and features Weazel Loc on the Josef Lineburg-produced song, releasing through CGR entertainment / Fat Beats.
