Yesterday (September 30), Pepsi, the NFL and Roc Nation announced that the Pepsi Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show at SoFi Stadium on Sunday, Feb. 13, 2022 will feature Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, and Kendrick Lamar.
The five iconic music artists have combined for 43 Grammys, 22 No. 1 Billboard albums and 1 Pulitzer Prize.
Shortly after the announcement was made, Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg spoke about the upcoming show, what it means for their legacies, and what fans can expect.
“Everybody around the whole world is going to get a chance to see why Dr. Dre is the greatest at what he do,” said Snoop Dogg during the interview.
“Not only do the show here at SoFi Stadium, but with my friends. With Snoop, Eminem, the beautiful Mary J. Blige, Kendrick. Everybody that’s going to walk on the stage I’ve produced record for them. And we’re all going to go on stage and really do our thing. We’re breaking barriers,” added Dre.
The “Nuthin’ But A G Thang” and “Still D.R.E.” collaborators go back and forth during the interview as seamlessly as they do on their records together.
