“All I have seen the majority of my life is gang banging, murder, and death. I don’t care where you are from or what you’ve done. It ain’t my concern. I don’t want no problems with anyone. But please do yourself a favor…leave me and my loved ones alone or there will be consequences if it goes down any other way”.
This statement from the South Central L.A. underground Rap artist known on the streets as Glocc Sinatra, a/k/a G-Sinatra, definitely sums up his approach to the ongoing street and gang violence currently sweeping Los Angeles, Chicago and other major cities across the United States.
G-Sinatra is one of the most gifted lyricists emerging out of the West Coast underground music scene within the last few years. Born and raised in South Central L.A., the artist has gained not only his “street respect”, but the respect of some of the top West Coast producers who are churning out hits in the current marketplace. Within weeks of his music being circulated on the streets and in the clubs, the artist caught the attention of West Coast musical icon DJ Battlecat, as well as new hit-maker Amplified, who immediately entered the studio to create new music for the upcoming debut project entitled The Gathering.
G-Sinatra blends hard core street lyrics and thought provoking verses in his musical approach which at times touches on street politics and violence, and at other times throughout the album project he weaves metaphoric stories which focus on the subject matters that are facing young Black and Hispanic people in the inner cities across the country.
The first single from the project is the Amplified-produced track “What You Mad At”, which will bring the underground artist to the mainstream. Tastemakers across the U.S. are totally embracing this new music and after listening to the hook section a couple of times you will see why. The lyrics stay in your head and you seem to start repeating the catchy hook for days to come.
The new single will be available for purchase via iTunes and other digital outlets worldwide no later than December 1, 2016.
